Dab-a-Dot Shapes Q-Tip Painting – Shapes Art
Dab-a-Dot Shapes Q-Tip Painting activity is a fun way for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners to learn all about shapes! They will practice shape identification, shape formation, and build fine motor skills! Children will dip a q-tip in paint and dab a dot in the center of each dot on the page. They will then trace the shape word at the top either with a q-tip and paint or marker.

I love anything that combines art with learning math and literacy. It really helps the children stay engaged and excited about the activity. Any time I get paint out, it’s a party!
Our Dab-a-Dot activities have proven to be a great resource for teaching letters, numbers, and shapes. This Dab-a-Dot Shapes activity focuses on 16 different shapes. The children dip their q-tip into any color paint they want and then dab it into each circle. This is a great way to build fine motor skills! I have noticed a lot of improvement in hand-eye coordination with these activities!
